Today we are going to try and open the top and cruise! And after we will have some wine and lounge in the wine fields surrounding our B&B. Will post some pics of this ‘adventure’ later.

Oh, and did I mention we hiked through a waterfall park yesterday? Here, let me show you some pics we took there…

And we have more planned. All with the goal to chill and take a break from Germany and our jobs. I will be signing in once in a while to share the Italy experience…

This weekend has been amazing! I finally returned home after another long business trip (attending the developer conference in Leipzig). So coming home I tried to have a relaxing time. I had a nice lunch as shown below. It is the first time I ever bought Sushi. Impressive, right? I also finished Call of Duty 4. And later today we will be heading out to the birthday and housewarming party of a friend from work.

Then, of course, there was Metallica who released their new single, ‘The Day That Never Comes’. After having listened to the song many times I have fallen deeply in love with it. I want you all the experience, so I will add a YouTube link featuring the full song in high quality sound (the band made this available for free on their website). The song has been taken from the forthcoming album Death Magnetic, which will be released September 12th.

Have a great weekend everybody!

I told you all a while ago that there’d be a festival in the area called Revofest. You can find the flyer in a post below. Well, I am volunteering there in the Green Room. This is where the VIPs hang out, and I basically make sure they have a good time and get everything they need.

I have never done it before, but it is kinda neat hanging with the artists. The biggest act this festival has is Sixpence NTR and they are really cool people. I made coffee for the singer, and caught her stretching her neg (trust me, it looked weird), so we had some fun. I also met some local bands and chatted with a UK band.

Today me and Cheryl will be going to the festival as regular visitor, just hanging and listening to the music. Tomorrow I will be volunteering again, and will help cleaning up the Green Room. Pictures to follow.

Monday I am going to go on a week long business trip to Leipzig… good times! Oh, and last week I was in Minneapolis (USA) for a week long trip as well. In September I have a couple of weeks off during which Cheryl and I will go on a trip to Italy :)

My day has come to an end, and it was a good one. I guess that depending on where you live in the world the day might still be going. Or you might already even be enjoying the Tuesday! Crazy isn’t it? Anyway, the reason I check in is because I haven’t been doing that as much recently, checking in with you guys. So I thought it is time to give you a heads up of what’s been going on…

I have been quite busy the last couple of weeks. If you have been checking out this place you probably noticed I spent some time in the States. I went to Los Angeles for one week, followed by one week Seattle. This was all work related. The week before I was hanging out at the Magic Circle Festival of which I posted some photos (there are more on Facebook).

This week I am spending some quality time with my wife! It was about time after not having seen her for almost three weeks straight. The coming two weeks I will also be traveling though, but not in the weekend, just from Monday to Fridays. So that is much better! I will be going to America once again, for one week, followed by one week in Leipzig. Also, all for work. I love my job! It takes me around the world :)

Other things that have been going on…. oh yeah! Me and Cheryl (she is my wife - for those of you new to my blog), drove to Holland last weekend to help a friend move appartments. Well, actually he moved the day before, but we helped him set up some IKEA furniture. We also played some Nintendo (SNES) and ate Chinese at his place. Good times!

Other things I am excited about: I just saw Cloverfield on Blu-Ray. Boy, that is one exciting movie! In other news, Metallica announced they are releasing their new album on September 12th. I guess this excites me, and not the rest of you. So back to the real world. Erhm. Oh, this weekend there is a music festival in Aschaffeburg, called Kommz.

We will have two friends from Holland visiting. Saturday we will hike in the area, and then we will head down to the festival and spend some time there. And that is about it… oh, no! One more thing! Cheryl and I bought a TomTom route navigation system. We finally gave in, and we love it!

So that’s it for today… happy Monday and talk to you again soon!
